Purple Dove

Purple Dove

A Poem by CherryBomb

That purple dove,

It stands impatientely by my window

Its right wing tore

I wait for it to fly away,

It never leaves

What does it want from me?

It rarely makes movement,

And never makes a sound

Waiting there for an eternity,

No love

No spouse

No freedom

Its there when it rains

Its there when I cry

Its there when I hide from my family and friends

But It never questions me,

It never feels my pain,

Maybe its because I have no intrest in its problems?

Or maybe its because it's a lowzy old purple dove, made out of clay?

Very interesting. I like it. I love this simplicity and wording of this write.
It made me think of someone lonely. This feeling of being alone.
Lovely.

How intriguing! This was like nothing I'd read before, but I actually really enjoyed it! I liked the balance between the listing and the rhetorical questions, and the fact that you were able to take something as simple as a purple dove and create so much meaning and significance out of it. There were several moments where 'its' should have been 'it's', but there was nothing that a bit of proof-reading couldn't fix. :) Nice write,

I really like this!!! I love how it's just there. But never "questions me". It seems like it's kind of a failed comfort object or something. I really like the way it's formatted too. And the word choice. Great job!

Unique and simple. the last sentence Kinda reminded me of something
I used to think and imagined that those mannequins in my places alive for some time before...I was 15 and by that age I don't really have many friends...They kinda keep me company and disturbed me at the same time...
