Bright Shadow

This Is All I feel right now,

In my dark cold room lies a shadow,

With that lavender afterglow,

It whispers melodies into my dreams,

In words that no body knows,

Four more hours til dawn,

Til I smell that fresh green lawn,

It gives me hope for tomorrow,

And makes me regret all my sorrow,

Another chance is all I need,

To face the next day waiting to be freed,

Another chance to tell you how I feel,

Another day down til you leave,

Its impossible for this all to be real,

Questioning your eyes; the color teal,

Knowing you; you wont be sorry,

This summer was just a whole safari,

Searching for love,

Like a lost dove,

Craving the mist,

Of yesterday,

From the second day; we kissed,

It's been all a big twist,

Someone so challenged,

With a life dismissed,

You conquered my heart,

And thats all I know,

I'll never let you go.

what is significant about your poem is that it COMMUNICATES! your feelings and thoughts as they occured...and it conveys the actual way feelings seem to us as we experience them. what is good about the colors is that they reflect emotions and actual real world things. but the BEST feature from my viewpoint is that it invites the reader to contribute...to pull out and examine his OWN similar experiences...and that is why it is ART...it invites contribution from the reader. Very Nice.
