Petting ZooA Poem by abellegraveThis is a true story.Petting Zoo Everything I know about
love I learned from a petting zoo. When I was two years old
or so, my Mama (bless her heart) took me to a local mall just outside of Pittsburg, PA. The visiting animal folks set up a large play pen in the middle of the
mall and dumped a menagerie of critters into it.
They had a piggie, rabbits, a large tortoise, some goats and a baby kangaroo all crammed in together. Then parents let their toddlers wander in alone. Now I was an adventurous kid, so I armed myself with and marched right in. Everything was going pretty well until I spotted that baby kangaroo that he was a fuzzy, feisty child because he was about my height. I chased that poor creature around that pen for a good ten minutes. When I finally embraced him--he turned on me and started rabbit punching me in the gut.
BUT I wouldn’t let go- All the while my mother
was yelling from the side lines, “If you keep trying to
hug him "he’s going to keep punching you!” To which I responded, “
I love YOU! Funny guy- I LOVE YOU- give hug…” After they pulled that
little beast off of my bloody, mangled body " I
continued screaming , “I still like youuu. Friend!” © 2012 abellegraveReviews
