The Equalist's CreedA Poem by abejoyal
I can no longer stand the American regime
I’d rather see fulfilled my socialist dreams
I want to see the death of the money-grubbing schemes
I want to see the an end to those violent fiends
I want to know that my currency is clean
I want better ends by peaceful means
I can no longer stand this theocracy
With only vague shadows of democracy
Represented by a flag and a life long fee
Paid by the young and poor in wars across the seas
I want to stand bold, safe, strong and free
I want to know that my country is what it should be
I can no longer stand the cultural war
Where tolerance is rare and truth even more
By illegalization, they only hurt the w****s
I want to choose who I want to live for
I want to make things better, I want to help the poor
For those who deserve it sit at our core
I can no longer stand insults that create lies
I’m sick of words rewritten to bring flame to the skies
I want the media to lose its undignified disguise
I want to wipe away the tears from the bloodshot eyes
Of the children persuaded that money can buy
Truth, so long as nobody cries
This is bullshit, untrue, it should die
I can no longer stand today’s lack of resistance
In a capitalist world, all our hands get rinsed
I want to live free in these days since
The end of monarchy, the kings last stints
But the factors worsen, our lives are minced
Because we commit the worst sin of ignorance
