What bees do

I love watching bees, I find it very soothing

If a I had to guess

who

holds the key to

the answers of the universe

I’d probably say

                                 the bees

for they don’t know

we’re looking for

answers

and are simply

going about

their days doing what

                                  bees do

This is nicely simple & symbolic. Even tho I fully agree with your choice of "bees" . . . this could stand for anything that hasn't yet been corrupted by human's influence, including babies & wild animals. Even tho this sounds like an innocent statement, I also read a ton of irony here becuz mankind thinks we have all the keys, we're so arrogant & full of ourselves, so it's as if your message is subtly kicking dirt in the face of humans for our arrogance. That's just asking a hell of a lot from a little poem like this, so I'm very impressed with your writing & welcome to the cafe! I'm glad you reviewed me so I could find you! I don't know if bees are holding keys to answer to universe. Only where was this question answered was at book hitchhike guide to universe and answer was very simple 42. But I think what is most worry is our bees are vanishing thanks to us and our modern agriculture . We lost touch with nature and ourself. I don't know if you saw documentary movie Vanishing of bees. But it's very good to watch. Without bees there will be no fruits, vegies, potatoes , rice etc. So I think answer on question on universe can be this , save the bees and your save this living planet.

I was just filling the birdbath and saw a bee
They are becoming fewer and fewer in our area so its a bit of a thrill to see them
A couple of deadly predators are working their way up here (BC) and things don't look too good for the inoffensive honey bee

Luckily in my rural area there are still enough left. But I know it's getting hard for them out there. What a shame!
