In The MorningA Poem by Abdul AzizCompanion piece to In the evening: http://www.writerscafe.org/writing/abdulrocks/639179/The windows in the morning Are serenaded by the gold The exultant sun creates For humans to behold.
The children are up Engaging in fantasies of old. Reality's a broken toy In their stories yet untold.
The city's still waking up, The people are at ease; The morning brings a joie de vivre To every soul that sees.
In the arms of morning I see your silhouette of peace; Your gentle hair and pristine aura Ruffling in the breeze.
As this brocade of leaves Paints its shadows on your face, Swaying in the wind With such eternal grace,
As your blissful morning smile All doubts and fears allays, I think and sit nonplused Enamoured by your ways. © 2012 Abdul AzizReviews
