Illuminate

Illuminate

A Poem by Abdul Aziz

Sometimes,
in the darkness of the night,

we see more clearly than ever.

As immutable forms arise

and get engulfed

by waves of unknown potency,

some soar to fly

with the power of thought,

though seemingly bound forever

to the fetters of the night.

It is then these ruminations,

illuminations

in the fog of muddled thought

ignite

in a haze of clarity,

bringing to life in vivid colour

these monochrome dreams

some choose to call reality.
