A Sigh

A Sigh

A Poem by Abdul Aziz

For every furtive sigh that never leaves my aching soul,
There grows a lump inside my throat that makes me think of you
And soothes the cinders of my mind emblazoned with your name,
Despite the pain of knowing I might never be with you.

A sigh is all that came out of me after I read this. It was a longing sigh for sure, one telling of the pain you speak off. Truly a mesmerizing write, as short as it is, in conveying the sentiments of anguish.
"knowing I might never be with you" - produces such a lump inside my throat and having to swallow it, kind of hurts.

Awesome write.

Some people will burn our mind forever. Family members who were kind and lost lovers leave us wishing for more time. A powerful poem. I like the story. A very good ending to a excellent poem.
