You bridge the gap

You bridge the gap

A Poem by Abdul Aziz

I'm caught in between a carpet of green
And a blanket of blue while thinking of you.
Your innocence fills everything between.

A scent of caffeine now blends in within
As it drifts through the air to my dreamy stare.
Your face is all my mind seems to glean.

Its aquamarine, and its all too serene.
You paint it red while inside my head.
You paint my dreams with colours unseen.

Now you stand in between
My thoughts and my dreams.
And shed sweet saline;
I know not the seams.
Now you come to careen
My heart's silent screams
And bridge the ravine
Between thoughts and dreams.

This was beautiful.Very serene until you came to the line And shed sweet saline;but that too added to the serenity,in a melancholic way though...you should be proud of this writing,it has a great flow...and is so eloquently written. You strike an elegant balance between your emotions and your words.Very well written.
