Genius

Genius

A Poem by Abdul Aziz

The fragrant day
Lilted in the aroma
Of his belligerence
And her hypnotic sway
Above the balmy odor
Of their coffee
As her lips moved to say
"You made my day
Genius"

He lit the room
With his mind.
She set it on fire
With her everything.
And as they sipped
Their now cold coffee
She proclaimed
While looking at his burning eyes
"Oh how are you so
My genius?"

Equations, notations,
Rotations, revolutions,
He could talk about them all day.
She sat enamored
And whispered as she rose
"How did I not meet you before,
My sweet
Genius?"

Now, her memories
Are the only fragrances
In his malodorous
Recluse of sorrow.
He still lights the room,
But his heart remains dark
As he thinks of
Physics, chemistry,
The human body,
And he thinks of why
He couldn't understand her.
He still doesn't understand.
He sighs.
Genius.

Were my favorite lines, this whole thing was so beautiful and witty, every time I read your work it makes me want to read more and more and if I had the time I would read all of it over and over again, because that's what it deserves, to have every line broken down and picked apart, to unravel the beauty of your work would be like music to my soul. Gorgeous write.

Hauntingly wistful…I read it a few times and decided that there is no doubt in the immensity of this universe that you are a brilliantly gifted poet.

I have come across so many genius's in my life. One I fell in love with for a very long time he knew everything to do with maths inside and out. Any maths question no matter how hard he could do it in a second. I do enjoy science my recent science exam I took I got grade B. Which I was pleased about
