Railway Station BluesA Poem by Abdul Aziz
I'm swimming in a sea of people
And I am alone, lonely; The music plays on tirelessly But I can't seem to hear it. In the rush of boarding, In the squalor of crowds I am alone, and all I can think of Is the splendour of your smile. The first jerks of motion - I am moving, endlessly, Driven by thoughts of you. The lights have dimmed, Lightning has slept, The rain drizzles on And you are not here. © 2015 Abdul AzizReviews
