Before Time Slips

Before Time Slips

A Poem by Abdul Aziz

Before time slips through icy fingers,
Before dreams whither and run dry,
Before hours run out of minutes
And we're united at last and I
Recount the countless fables
And this sweet endless lullaby,

Let me try to draw that smile
On the soft features of your face,
And in the corners of our eyes,
Let our points of view embrace,
And let us count these happy seconds
Till they melt to hours and days.
