Let the moonlight bathe you tonight

Let the moonlight bathe you tonight

A Poem by Abdul Aziz

LET THE MOONLIGHT BATHE YOU TONIGHT

Let the moonlight strum its starry notes

Where the roses lie tonight,

And let your dreams reverberate

And sing you soft goodnight.

Don't worry, love, and let the night

Whither away your aches,

And let the soothing starlight mend

The heart that often breaks.

The night is nigh, its shroud descends

Upon the yawning mind;

And with it brings the calmness that

The heart so tries to find.

I pray that night shall cleanse you

Of the doubts that haunt your dreams;

I pray that starlight bathes you

In its calm, eternal streams.
