Love

Love

A Poem by Abby Vandeberg
"

For we must love someone

"
Love
By abby vandeberg

For we feel
Feel a love so real
Feeling true but with people
in a world so oblivious
For two people they are
For she is curious
About this and that
And for he is wise
Not just by smarts
But the way he speaks
In a beautiful harmony with the world around him
It's quite lovely
Leaving a past of broken bones they encountered
Just before life takes its course
Suddenly and surely
They collide
Like two beautiful pieces of art
They instantly become heavenly
As if God himself has given an angel
They paint a picture to know more
Deeper and deeper the paint seeps
And the more they mend the broken pieces together
Time after time of painting outside the lines
They form a connection
Love
Come storms and rain
Bumpy patches and thunder about
For they don't care
Their tears let out together
Like beautiful rain on a sunny day
Of course It was beautiful
It has to be
For we have found a partner
Because its the century of a life time
And people still search for that
In ancient time it was believed that
Two people were conjoined at birth
And we were separated and put
On separate ends of the earth
To search for each other
We spend countless years
Finding pieces
Leaving trails of brown hearts knowing
Sooner or later we find them
And I believe who heartedly
You are my soul mate
For I know we are true
What we have is simply magnificent
With the beauty of God before us
It seems so magical
Like a dream
Helping others feel the trueness
The way the paint seeps
Connecting the heart more than the mind
It's amazing
Never ending love stories continue to fade
People begin to collapse
You tend to realize
Just who you have
When a rainbow comes out
After a little rain
For I love you
On earth for the life I live
I vow to you
To spend each day caring so much about you
And when my time comes
Being off of this earth
With you beyond the magical
Heaven has no time
Eternity I will spend loving you
Countless years will pass
And I will forever keep you close to me
Closer than most anything
Allowing God to know just how much we mean to each other
Continuing to let the paint seep
Through the canvas and into my soul
I love you for you
The way you see things
The levels you seek
Your inner strength
Your mindset
How wise you are
To me
A true mark of maturity
And I grow with you every day
Right by your side
I love you
Not because your perfect
Because no body is
I love you
Because I see life in you
When not many people seek that
For I love you
Because you are my rainbow
After a little rain..

a lovely tale of soul mates...a poem of such length must have taken some effort...and it came off with flying colors...I could never achieve it...I kind of look to poets to you who can write long like that and pull it off so well with awe. I loved the little reference to the ancients belief in there about being separated at child birth. Nice write!
