WallflowersA Poem by Abby L.::Being Sad::Did she always have those bruises on her arm? I just thought she was insecure Covered herself from harm Didn’t he always get into fights? I am pretty sure thats why he comes to school wearing a big black-eye Wasn’t she always that pale? She’s shy I assumed No, I never sought her out but she just kinda loomed Since when was it my job to seek people out? My friends and I are fine without a doubt. She never came to us and complained About using a blade on herself everyday He never asked to play football with us He never wanted to make a fuss He sat in the corner all alone Never telling us what goes on at home She didn’t tell me she had a gun She never mentioned what she was planning, but its all done She just sat all alone, slouched in her desk Looking as if she needed more rest Wallflowers they assume You pass them once never pay any thought again You didn’t even notice when they were gone When maybe, just maybe, all they needed was one friend. © 2015 Abby L.Author's Note
