![]() The River of LifeA Poem by Abby L.![]() ...![]() The river is long and ever-changing Different to all yet always constant It flows quickly never aging Flying by in an instant The river has hopes and dreams Usually crushed by the reality of things Its a chance, a gamble That few are able to handle Though the chances are slim and the river is rough You still throw everything in Thinking those chances are wide and accepting All to your demise I hate your stupidity for giving it your all But I know thats not in my control Even though our rivers cross I can only help you at much cost “Your plan will not work; It’s just to hard” I say But you deny my and try anyway
Then when you’re stranded Your dream torn up, I will be on the banks Cheering you up You gave it your all with less in return Although this is not all you earned You earned knowledge and wisdom And all sorts of things, That only can be given by dreams Thrown in rivers with full force And though you’re stupid And though you’re dumb I know there’s only one you under the sun So, don’t worry my dear Go in with everything I have a floaty And I’ll save things © 2015 Abby L.Author's Note
