Before You Were Famous

Before You Were Famous

A Poem by Pressed and Prim
"

A poem about a girl that became famous too fast.

"

Oh little girl

Do you remember the days

When you were unknown

Untouched by fame?

You were simple yet catching

Few knew your name

But because of your plans

The world, you would gain.

With humble pursuits

You went out of your way

And soon enough, girl

There was more they could say.

And in just a few months

And in just a few years

You climbed to the top

You formed a career.

But do you remember

All that time before?

Before you were famous

Before you were adored?

Perhaps not, so it seems

It was too long ago

Too much has since happened

But not much, I think, though.

It was a time of less glamour

When you could only dream

And deny the success

Because so fleeting it seemed.

But now you are here

Underneath the lights

Because of a dream

That came true overnight.

So why look back now,

When everything is just fine?

Because before you were famous

You had too much time.
