just friends

just friends

A Poem by Abbie
"

silly little flings

"

Tell me this won’t end in heartbreak.

I saw it from the start.

Honey eyes staring

Deeply into mine

Two centimeters apart

Side by side on my bed.

Wrapped up tight

In sheets that keep falling.

Sweaty hands trace my every outline.

A warmth I’ve never felt.

Tingles in my head,

My toes,

My heart.

Running through my mind all day-

You must be tired.

Messy hair I styled.

Makeup left on pillowcases.

Stopping mid-kiss to hear me speak,

And vice versa.

I tell you stories

I save for my journals.

Your first time doing this.

Mine too.

Our friends can never know.

Our little secret.

Just tell me this won’t end in heartbreak.
