A Word Of Rejection

A Word Of Rejection

A Poem by A.r. Bazian

A Word Of Rejection

I swear Allegiance, only to whom i choose

and to the mater of where i belon',

that too, is my choosing alone...

for before thee I stand,

barren, of that which you accuse

no more vex holocaust of thoughts...

for i've taken long, your abuse

I choose none of that,

which the world you gave...

paths to redemption...that are not mine choosing

all off, and I carryth to mine grave

this...

a word of rejection

to mark; that I oppose

I need not your supposed perfection

nor your worthless cause.

Another rhyme in rejection,

thus it is I... that I write!

Do lend an ear in attention

for this indeed, is our fight!

once again my friend you out do me, the imagry of the phrases you use are spectacular. a couple things that i would look into however is your olde english for instence "and I carryth to mine grave" im pretty sure that "mine" should just be "my" or "thine". also some of your rythmic ryhmes are slightly off and you might consider other words that might fit a little better. just thoughts for you to reveiw. the important thing, as always is that your voice is there. you are a marvilous poet

I sensed a very poet here. bitterness, the wanting of being left alone an and the simple yet tangled need of being independent. I liked the parts:

this...

a word of rejection

to mark; that I oppose

I need not your supposed perfection

nor your worthless cause.

Interesting piece. thanks for sharing.
