An Elegy, In Memorial of Life (Remastered)A Poem by A.r. Bazian
An Elegy, In Memorial of Life I witnessed murder! It was here last night I've seen man kill… He had no right… The life he took… Had no will to fight! He who had… The rule of light Now he hides Out of sight Back bent again Tortured with destruction The tear down of construction The hurricane of death The last… of human breath! Tonight… I write an elegy… I weep… the clusters of a human heart I cry… the burial of a human soul A grave… a tombstone… In our bloodied green fields! In this age so cold… We read our own eyes… As our pages unfold… A curfew tolls… Her statue falls… A light she has shined… Now it stalls… In darkness… she falls! In the depths of our lies… She'll always be my guide! In times of stress… In her I confide! The face of humanity though… Will no longer hide… From eyes of truth… From tears we've cried… But from shame… In words of empty hopes… All pains are somehow the same! And she's aching! For us… for herself… And she cries for you… For all of you! March with me to the tunes of the trumpet And the howling of the wolves… Lets cry, over the lives we've lied… Upon such ill faith… But wash up quickly… It time we decide… Put on your smiles And your fake pacemakers And walk away… As what's left dies! Lets sing that man to his final sleep… And hum him to his silence… Upon the hymns of death… And its warming lullaby Just wear your smiles over your lies… Walk along… And wave your hand good bye!
