Diaries of An immigrant Soul, Pt.8: The Oncoming Redemption
A Poem by A.r. Bazian
[Diaries of An immigrant Soul, Pt.8: The Oncoming Redemption]
Winter rides on…
Over memories long gone…
Such false in his parade…
A breeze breaks the silence…
A monstrous chill…
Down to the bone…
Walls… built so high…
Block out the dawn…
Only the scent of the morning that came…
Over the sadness of night…
And the veil of shame…
I strip… before rocks and wall…
Before witnesses of fate…I'm the broken soul…
I strip… before happiness…and gall…
I strip…
Before you all…
As he… goes on!
We bare the light…
As he goes on…
Parading his wonders…
The rain man goes on!
So hollow… he spreads fear…
In hearts of those who can't see clear…
Appears in dresses of vanity and desire…
All upon the breaking dances of death…
Around this healthy fire…
Appears for those who fear the most…
The specter of emptiness…
My fellow ghost…
Oh… maker of rain…
Wash away the pain…
Mind that my friend…
Only flesh remain!
This is a story long told…
A myth of wonders…
Centuries old….
When darkness ruled…
It gaveth warmth in cold…
Now long forgotten…
Hopes… like monuments of heroes…
Crowned in gold
The birth of the tragedy…
And the hopes we hold!
Carried upon the winds…
Waiting for the moment… to once again be told!
Engraved in the darkness of the breeze...
All you need is to listen…the power of man… for whom to seize…
The truth whispered in the wind…
For all of us to listen…
to the elderly whom have sinned!
I noticed a certain reek in the air…
A scent, like rust…
But of freedom…
And a lady so fair…
Old, and cold…I noticed as I fall…
Brave and bold… like that crack in the wall…
Through which so sudden…
Gave rise to my fall…
Light rushed in… and rain…
Washed away the flesh…
Left me the gall…
To be free once again…
And tell my story to all!
