The Dark Wanderer

Hey you
Way out there in the distance
Can you hear me cry?
Can you hear me sigh?
Can you see me run
Can you see me fly

Can you stand up?
Outstand his might?
Take away the darkness
To bring in the light?

How is it out there?
Is there light?
Tell me
Is it bright?
I cant go out and see,
For here lies my pride
Here lies by bride
Buried under the roses
Away from the light
Oh,
Traveler in time
Undo this crime
The Morning sun
Brings in my sorrow
This endless sin
Leading in tomorrow

Such sin
Eternal as the sea
Man sinned
Brought it on to me
For much are the reasons
That brought this sin to be
Madness is one
That led history

Shakespeare's question was;
"to be or not to be"
To put aside the world
To rise and be free?
To look outside-in, and say;
I hate what I see
Is this all what man did?
Is hate all he bred?
Do they need a prophet
to remind hem that they are mortal?
That only a mans deeds
Are meant to be eternal?

My friend
Now, you stand close
Tell me
Are we outcast?
Or are we dead?
Tell us my friend!!!

And the apparition looked at me
As he smiled away
"Hush, not a word my friend "
He said
"Dont you worry
The darkest hours
are those that begin the day!!!"

Key word that stuck out to me - "apparition". Perhaps this poem is in the last days, perhaps the apparition is a ghost. Perhaps this poem takes place in hell? Either way, I find this poem very intriguing. I will be thinking long after closing this page.

Humans do have a problem with remembering they are mortal. I think being an outcast is a good thing. Outcasts see more then the "normal" people. I love this one, too.
