Fearless to Be

Oh! the terrible anxiety!

The Fear of being a disappointment.

The Fear of being happy,

It's got a hold on me, It won't let go.

How will I ever amount to anything?

If Fear is present?

Fear takes over Trust, slowly slaying my 

support system.

The anticipation is no joke!

I hope one day to stand on my own,

Believing I am not alone.

What you feel is what we all feel as we move forward in our choices. Each milestone comes with more "what ifs" but we move forward. Something tells me you have nothing to worry about! I enjoyed your poetry!
