Butterfly

Butterfly

A Poem by Anna Batista
"

She is

"
Remember Her?

She was the Caterpillar no one noticed.

Unwanted, Unseen.

Her hopes were low, her esteem lower.

She Knew her day would come, but she needed to lover herself.

Her Savior would lift her from her shell, and brake every binding.

She knew she deserved better, She was more than a caterpillar.

Ambitious, determined, strong, bright, beautiful, winning,

Her soul lighted a garden once gray and scary.

She grew wings to aim high.

She became the beauty her Savior once told her She would be.

And She IS.

Beautiful.
Told in the story of a butterfly, but relating to a human.
I kind of related to this, as im sure allot of people will.
I cant wait for the day I open my wings, am no longer scared, and fly into my future.
Thank you for the read :)
