Fly away little one...

Fly away little one...

A Poem by Andrea A. Wentz
"

A poem about my little girl, Riley, who died on December 23rd, 2008, at only 10 weeks old.

"

Your angelic face i see in my dreams

Eyes of blue and the tiniest lips

Kiss of an Angel on your eye

In wonder of all the world

Rye cakes, and twinkle toes

My baby girl

An angel among us

Never again in our home

Fly away my little girl

Fly to a peace not found on earth

We will be together again

But not now

Not yet

I've your sisters to look after for now

But soon my love

Soon

Fly away little one

Fly away

We will be together again

But not now

Not yet...

Oh Andrea... this is a beautiful tribute to Riley... She is your angel but she is not far. She is within your heart as only a mother's love could give. Alive in your heart she will always be. She is with you looking after her sister's too.. She may need to fly to heaven in her little wings and claim her spot amongst the angels.. But she will return with love, guidance, and protection for her parents and her sisters...

Hugs.. Hugs.. Hugs..

A heartbreaking poem! My wife and I lost two baby girls who never saw daylight - one a miscarriage, the other a stillbirth. We never held those babies in our arms, which may be a blessing, or may be a curse. Those were devastating moments in our lives, but it would surely have been even more devastating had we held them and then lost them, as you did. We went on to have two fine sons, but we still think of our daughters who were never meant to be. So sad, for all who have to suffer this.

Beautiful
So sorry for your loss
When we die they come to take us
To a better place with them

Let me say how sad this makes me and how sorry i am, and the words mean little when you lose a child, i know.. This is beautiful - just beautiful.

Oh! Man! I am so sorry, it is a wonderful tribute to her.
I do know what it's like to lose a child. It is a very painful thing to go thorugh.

It's good to remember and good to honor those we have lost. Writing is a great way to release the grief and the heartache. A way to deal with something unbearable.

There is nothing like a mother's love to help others remember a child lost. A mother/child relationship is one of the greatest gifts. I know you will treasure it always in your heart and that with your words we too will treasure Riley's memory.

I miss her, but she is not really gone. She is just waiting for the rest of us to come home to her.

Love you girl, hope all is well, miss you!
