Out of the mouths of babes...

My oldest daughter Gina, who is 8, decided to be an absolute sweetheart tonight by offering to make dinner for us. She made Chef Boyardee (sp?) all by herself. Unfortunately, in the process she burned her finger. :(

 

After we were all done eating our ravioli she washed dishes, and ran a load of clothes. Anyone who has an 8 year old can imagine how surprised I was! Turned out she wanted to play some Age of Empires for a bit, but I’m getting off track.

 

Later that evening she was sitting on the couch with an ice pack in her hand, keeping her finger cold. At length she came to stand beside me and, in all sincerity, said, "Mom....I think my finger needs to be cut off cause it won’t stop burning."

 

Needless to say I was laughing for quite sometime about that, after reassuring her that her finger did not require removal and giving it a kiss just to be sure.

 

Ah....out of the mouths of babes. :)
