A warning unheeded...

A warning unheeded...

A Poem by Andrea A. Wentz
"

A poem about the realization that your gut hunch that you were being used should have been listened to the first time.

"

12/26/07

As I gaze outside

Memories of you come to mind

Our love of the twinkling lights above

bringing forth these thoughts...

As I look up to the first star I see

I chance a hope, a wish

For you to return

Knowing full well it’s hopeless

The moons’ light sparkling among the snow drifts

Shadows of a tree

Branches swinging crazily in the wind

Mirror well the chaos of my heart

A deep loss, but one guarded

Hidden from prying eyes, even yours

No one can mock me, for no one knows

Not even myself

Pain and confusion bubble time and again

But distraction saves this pathetic love stuck wench

A memory, long ago etched to never go back

A warning unheeded, is a wound revived

you write so honest. It sounds like writing is great healing for you and I hope that is true. I love reading your work. Unfortunately your pain is so relatable for so many.
peace to you!!

Oh, I am sorry, Andrea. You deserve a lot better than that. Some guys just can't put together a good act, and this is a crying shame. On the other hand, I tend to believe that all women are beautiful. Some just don't have high "lreationship performance standards."

At least, you pain has given rise to some really good poetry. Here's hoping that somebody extremely special and caring makes all of your dreams come true.

Luv,
Gabe

I liked the feeling of helplesness here. It give great sound to it and you really feel whoever this is affecting. The pain is very evident here.
