The Enigma of 7 Gems

A Story by Aashriya Sanghi

"In 'The Enigma of 7 Gems', Tia, a princess in a fairy land, embarks on a perilous mission with her friend to unravel the mysteries of the past.

"

How the Enigma started?

In a land far, far away, there existed a stunning fairy named Tia. Her wings shimmered in a lovely shade of pink. She was also adept at wielding magical powers. She was the princess of the enchanting Fairy Land, but her father was disappointed in her because they had hoped for a boy. Her mother, however, provided her with an excellent education and now, her mother is a proud parent, basking in the glory of Tia’s accomplishments in various fields.

While Tia was delving into the history of Fairy Land, she stumbled upon an intriguing article titled, “Unraveling the Mystery of the 7 Diamonds”. Intrigued, Tia asked her mother about this. Her mother narrated the tale of the 7 Diamonds. She said, “A long time ago, there were 7 mystical fairies each possessing different powers of fire, water, earth, air, snow, sky, and thunder. If any of these elements were squandered, the power of the fairy diminished and now the power has depleted completely, transforming them into 7 diamonds”.

Tia, curious as ever, asked, “Then what happened to the diamonds?”

Her mother replied, “I’m not certain about it, Tia. If you wish to know more, delve deeper into the history of the 7 fairies and the diamonds.”

Tia nodded her head in agreement and retreated to her room. She was lost in thought about the 7 fairies and the diamond. As she was pondering, an idea struck her. She sprang up from her bed and headed to the library where there was a shelf dedicated to the history books of Fairy Land. She poured over all the history books about the 7 fairies and diamonds.

In the book, it was written, ‘There are 7 seats carved out of stone, on the 1st seat there was the emblem of fire, on the 2nd there was the emblem of water, 3rd seat was adorned with the emblem of earth, 4th was graced with the emblem of air, 5th was decorated with the emblem of snow, 6th was embellished with the emblem of sky and the 7th one was marked with the emblem of thunder’.

Tia continued reading, ‘The location of the seats is a well-guarded secret because there is a villain named Sandman who possesses the power to turn people into sand and his ultimate goal is to obliterate Fairy Land. For years, he has been in the relentless pursuit of the map revealing the location of the 7 seats, oblivious to the fact that the map of 7 seats is hidden in the last page of this book.’

Tia quickly flipped to the last page and she discovered a map. She started deciphering the map. Tia solved the map swiftly and now she knew that first, a person has to traverse through the Bread Man City then the vast sea, then the sprawling flower garden and finally, cross the forest teeming with pink flowers and majestic unicorns.

Now, Tia was prepared to delve into the remaining two pages. She discovered that the first diamond was concealed near the volcanoes, the second diamond was hidden in the Atlantic Ocean, the third diamond was located where the seven seats were but inside the earth. The fourth, sixth, and seventh diamonds were veiled in the sky, while the fifth diamond was tucked away on Mt. Everest. Having absorbed all the history about the 7 Diamonds, Tia contemplated that she must embark on a quest to restore the fairies to life.

She gathered the map, packed some provisions, and mounted her pink unicorn named ‘Crystal’ to depart from her palace. Crystal had the ability to soar through the skies. Tia decided to bring along a companion on this journey. She chose Mira, the purple fairy, and her purple unicorn, Lucie, who also possessed the ability to fly. With her magical powers, she transformed her attire from pink to blue to ensure her royal identity remained a secret. She also bestowed a crown upon Mira.

The Journey…

After half an hour, they arrived at the Bread Man City, which was not as they remembered. The city, once cheerful and vibrant, was now the opposite. They inquired about the change with the queen of the Bread Man City. The queen revealed that an evil man frequently visited the city, seizing all their food. If they resisted, he threatened to obliterate the Bread Man City.

Tia assured them that she would assist them at any cost. She brandished her magical wand and uttered some enchanting words. Through her magic, she conjured a protective dome. Tia explained that this protective dome would prevent any adversary from entering the Bread Man City; only benevolent individuals could gain entry.

The queen was so delighted with Tia’s assistance that she presented her with a gift, instructing her to open it whenever she felt insecure. The queen then inquired about their destination. Tia informed her about the 7 Diamonds and the magical fairies. The queen asked if she knew the password to enter the Cave of 7 Seats. Tia shook her head in denial.

The queen provided them with the password. Both Tia and the queen had helped each other. They bowed and bid each other farewell. Then Mira and Tia rode on their unicorns.

They traversed the vast sea in just 1.5 hours. They then arrived at the enormous flower garden. They continued their journey towards the forest of Pink flowers. In the forest, Mira and Tia decided to rest for a while. Meanwhile, their unicorns frolicked with other unicorns.

The Problem

While Tia was resting, she noticed a peculiar shadow, not of an animal. She immediately stood up. Mira asked what had happened; Tia assured her that she would return in 2-3 minutes.

Tia began to follow the shadow and ended up far from the forest. She found herself in a strange palace. As she pondered how to return to the forest of pink flowers, an iron cage descended from the sky and trapped Tia. A strong smell emerged, and Tia started to faint.

When she regained consciousness, her magic wand, her wings, and the map for the 7 seats were missing.

Meanwhile, Mira was worried because Tia had not returned for an hour. Mira suspected that Tia was in danger; she rode on her unicorn and went to find Tia.

Tia was terrified when a tall man appeared in front of the cage. The strange man told Tia that he was pleased with her for giving him the map of the seats. He also knew that Tia was the princess of fairyland. Tia was puzzled as he knew that she was the princess. The man revealed himself as ‘The King of Kings, The greatest villain of the world " The Sandman.’ His mission was accomplished, and Tia was no longer useful to him. He showed her a button and told her that when he clicked this button, an electric shock would be generated, and Tia would die. Tia was scared, thinking that now she would not be able to save Fairy Land and its people.

Just as Sandman was about to press the button, a man arrived and informed him that Tia also knew the location of the 7 diamonds and the password to open the cave. Sandman commended the man for his timely arrival and praised him for his servitude.

Meanwhile, Mira was searching for Tia. She noticed something sparkling and discovered it was Tia’s magic wand. Suddenly, three more cages descended from the sky, trapping all three of them. A potent smell filled the air, causing them all to faint.

Sandman approached Tia and informed her that he had three gifts for her. Upon his clap, Tia saw Mira, Crystal, and Lucie each trapped in a cage. She was shocked and began to cry. Sandman laughed a sense of malevolence in his mind.

After four to five days, a man approached Tia and informed her that it was time to go to the 7 seats. Tia retorted angrily, declaring that they would never reach the 7 seats. The man laughed, tapping a button; two sharp blades appeared near Mira’s wings.

Tia pleaded with them to stop and added that she was ready to reveal everything. The man left the room, continuing to laugh.

After an hour, a man returned and pressed a button, causing the size of the four to shrink to that of a rabbit. Some slaves placed Mira and Tia in a tiny cage and covered it with a cloth. Tia was terrified for Mira, Crystal, and Lucie. She blamed herself and her confidence in solving the mystery of the diamonds. After a few minutes, they removed the cloth. Tia saw Sandman riding on Crystal, and Lucie was carrying their luggage. Tia was confused as to why Crystal and Lucie would assist them. Then she noticed something in their eyes - they were hypnotized.

Upon reaching the 7 seats, Sandman approached Tia and demanded the password, warning her that if she failed to provide it, he would eliminate Mira and both of their unicorns. Tia, worried, gave him the password. She intentionally provided the wrong password because she knew that whoever uttered the incorrect spell would be eliminated.

Sandman began to laugh and approached the cave. He loudly declared, “If you are bad, you are safe.” No sooner had he spoken than a surge of water and an electric shock emerged, finishing Sandman. Seeing their king dead, all the slaves fled the scene at full speed, fearing for their lives.

With Sandman’s demise, his magic on the fairies also ended. Their size began to increase, and the hypnotism was lifted. Tia checked on Mira and the unicorns, ensuring they were okay. Ready to open the cave, Tia uttered, “If you are good, you are safe.” The cave opened, and they entered. Using her magical powers, Tia dug into the earth and found a diamond. It shone so brightly that they could barely keep their eyes open. They placed the diamond on the seat bearing the logo of Earth. Tia instructed Mira to follow her magical wand and retrieve three diamonds with it. Mira began to follow the wand, while Tia ascended to the sky to search for the other three diamonds.

Friend or Ditch?

Tia arrived at the City of Clouds. She entered the city through the main gate. The guards initially refused her entry, so she revealed her identity. She explained that she was the princess of Fairyland and had come to meet their queen, Angela. The guards apologized and opened the gate for her. She proceeded directly to the palace and requested a private audience with the queen. Queen Angela agreed and led Tia to her personal suite.

Tia explained her journey and the reason for her visit. The queen revealed that she only had two diamonds and that a neighboring palace held the third diamond. However, she warned Tia that the queen of that palace was not kind-hearted. Tia requested the two diamonds, but the queen declined. She stated that Tia would have to answer a riddle to earn the diamonds. The queen posed the riddle, “Here’s a one-story house in which everything is yellow. Yellow walls, yellow doors, yellow furniture. What color are the stairs?” Tia, having studied such riddles in her school days, responded, “There aren’t any"it’s a one-story house.” The queen was amazed, as most people would answer “yellow.” Pleased, the queen gave Tia the two diamonds and a gift, instructing her to open it whenever she felt unsafe. Tia thanked the queen for the diamonds and the gift, bowed, and left the palace. She rode her unicorn and set off for the neighboring palace.

Upon her arrival, the place was a stark contrast to the City of Clouds. The flowers were of a dark hue, there was no guard at the gate, and everything was in a state of disrepair, giving off an eerie vibe. She entered and saw a woman seated on the throne, dressed in black and red. Tia bowed politely and greeted the queen. The queen didn’t respond but offered a sly smile. Tia explained her reason for being there and her need for one of the queen’s diamonds. The queen agreed to give her the diamond but under one condition. Tia had to spend a night in the palace. If she could survive the night, the diamond would be hers. Tia was puzzled as to why she needed to stay for a night but agreed nonetheless. She asked where she would be sleeping that night. The queen instructed one of her servants to show Tia the way. The boy asked Tia to follow him, and she complied. When they arrived, Tia saw a room filled with rust, insects, a dreadful smell, and trash. The queen informed her that the diamond wouldn’t come easily. Tia had to stay in the room, or the queen would shatter the diamond and sell the pieces at high prices. Tia had no choice but to agree to stay in the room, but she requested an hour alone. The queen consented.

When Tia was alone, she remembered the gift she received from Queen Angela. She quickly opened it and found a letter inside. The letter read, “I know that you are in the neighboring palace and you need my help. Just go to the queen and show her the other two diamonds. Those diamonds can eliminate people with evil intentions.” Now Tia knew what to do. She took the other two diamonds and rushed back to the queen. All the servants were gathered there, excited about the guest. Tia showed them the other two diamonds.

Suddenly, two of the servants grabbed her hands, and another servant took the two diamonds from her. Tia was confused and frightened. All the servants tied her hands and legs with ropes and attached the ropes to a wooden piece. Tia was trapped. Then the queen placed the two diamonds on a stand where another diamond was lying.

The queen announced that her sister would be arriving in 10 minutes and that all the servants needed to dress up their new servant in the servant’s room.

All the servants escorted Tia to their room and returned after 5 minutes. Tia, now dressed in the servant’s attire, was weeping profusely. The queen instructed the servants to acquaint Tia with the kingdom’s rules, which she had to obey, or else she would be condemned to the dark jail for the rest of her life. Frightened, Tia complied, hoping that Mira would come to her rescue. She joined the other servants in preparing food for the queen’s sister.

As the queen’s sister was arriving, all the servants lined up and bowed to the queen. Tia was curious about the queen’s sister, but she couldn’t see her as she was facing downwards. While the queen was conversing with her sister, she ordered a servant to bring Tia forward as her sister wanted to meet her. The queen reminded the servant to instruct Tia on how to behave in front of her sister.

The servant fetched Tia from the servant’s room. Tia still couldn’t see the queen’s sister as she was facing downwards. The queen’s sister questioned the queen, expressing disbelief that Tia was the princess of Fairyland. Tia was taken aback. The queen invited her to greet her sister, Angela. Tia was shocked by what she heard. Both sisters began to laugh, discussing how they had tricked Tia. Tia was crying inwardly.

The queen whispered an order to a servant, Arthur, who looked shocked upon hearing it. He rushed to Tia, grabbed her hand, and forcibly took her to her room, locking the door. Tia’s screams echoed in the ears of both sisters. The screams ceased after 30 minutes, and the servant emerged. He reported to the queens that he had executed their command. He had tied Tia to the bed, surrounded the bed with fire, and placed harmful insects on the bed. He even ripped her clothes. This torment would be inflicted on Tia every 30 minutes, once a day. The queen also demanded Tia to sign an agreement stating that she had to obey everything the servants said and stay with them until her death, or else her parents would be imprisoned.

After enduring a month of torture, Tia was left alone in the dark jail for 15 days. They fed her once a day. Tia clung to life for one reason - the hope that Mira would come and rescue her. On the 16th day, another girl dressed in servant’s clothes entered the dark jail. It was Mira.

When Tia inquired how Mira ended up there, Mira explained that she had come looking for her. However, they cleverly took the three diamonds from her and left her there. Tia shared her experiences over the past few weeks. Both of them had given up the idea of returning home, and Mira blamed Tia for thinking she could save Fairyland all by herself. After a month of Mira’s life in the dark jail, Tia died of hunger because she had stopped eating and wanted to die as soon as possible. The queen declared that she would not remove the body, and Mira lived with it for three days.

Fairy?

On the fourth day, Mira saw a shadow of a fairy in a green and blue dress. She initially thought it was her imagination and that she was going to die too, but the fairy was real. The fairy gave Mira some food and brought Tia back to life. They both thanked the fairy for her help and asked for her introduction. The fairy thanked both of them first. Tia and Mira were confused. The fairy revealed that she was the Earth fairy and that Tia and Mira had brought her back to life. The food she gave them was made of pure ingredients derived from Earth. The fairy helped them escape from the jail and defeat the evil queens.

Tia requested the fairy not to harm Arthur because they were very good friends. Whenever the queens commanded Arthur to torture Tia, he would lock the door and do nothing to her. He would simply ask her to scream so that the queens would think that Tia was being tortured. Moreover, he never tore Tia’s clothes; instead, he had a pair of torn clothes that Tia would change into when Arthur went to the Queens.

When Tia was freed from the jail, she began searching for Arthur and found him coming out from the servant’s room. Tia shouted his name, “ARTHUR,” and he turned around and smiled happily. Tia told him that she had defeated the evil queens and asked him to join them. Arthur agreed.

Arthur and Tia ran towards Mira. Mira had found their fairy dress, their magical wand, magical wings, and their unicorns. The fairy had found all six diamonds. They all departed for the seven seats. They placed the diamonds on the specific seats together, and a timer of two months started on all of them. The Earth fairy, with all her magical powers, changed the timer to one minute, and they all waited to see the other fairies. The fairies emerged from the seats, and they all hugged each other. All seven fairies thanked Tia and Mira for their efforts.

The fairies asked if Tia and Mira wanted to join their group, but they declined, stating that they needed to return to Fairyland and that their parents must be worried about them.

The Truth

When the fairies inquired about their parents, Tia revealed that her mother’s name was Sophie and her father’s name was Kael. The fairies were taken aback by this revelation. When Tia asked why, one of the fairies explained that Kael was the demon responsible for their transformation into diamonds.

Suddenly, Arthur asked Tia if her father’s full name was Kael Roberson. Tia confirmed this, and Arthur revealed that he was the brother of Angela and Leila, the two deceased sisters. Arthur also warned them that their brother was extremely dangerous. He recounted an incident where Kael had ripped out a servant’s heart and discarded it in the trash bin along with the shards of a broken cup, simply because the servant had spilled water on their sister’s dress. He also mentioned that Kael’s wife, Sophie, known as the beauty of the demon kingdom, had once visited. Tia was shocked by these revelations.

The fairies warned her that if Kael discovered that both his sisters were dead, Fairyland could be in danger. Tia was overwhelmed with emotion and began to cry. Mira then declared that they needed to hurry back to Fairyland to protect its inhabitants. They all mounted their unicorns, but Tia was conflicted. She was torn between the choice of having to kill her parents if she chose the right path, and becoming a threat to Fairyland if she chose the wrong path. Memories of the time she spent with her parents flooded her mind. She couldn’t bear the thought of killing her own parents, especially her mother, who had done so much for her. She couldn’t understand why her mother would want to revive the fairies if her family was the one who had turned the fairies into diamonds. Tia was plagued with endless questions, all without answers. Mira interrupted her thoughts and asked why she wasn’t riding her unicorn.

"You cannot even fathom how it feels to contemplate killing your own parents...I cannot do this...I cannot kill them…My mother has done so much for me," Tia confessed.

"Don't tell us you are going to follow in your family's footsteps," the fairies retorted.

"You are correct," Tia admitted, avoiding eye contact.

"It's wrong," Mira interjected.

"My family comes first…I cannot kill them…Instead, I am prepared to kill anyone necessary…I cannot tolerate anyone harming my family," Tia shouted.

"In that case, we need to eliminate you as well…As you are now siding with the wrong," the fairies declared.

"Fine, I am going to the castle and will do whatever is necessary to protect my family!"

Tia mounted her unicorn and flew back to Fairyland. She embraced her mother upon arrival but didn't reveal what she knew. Her mother informed her that she needed to change and prepare as her father's sisters were dead. They needed to visit them. Tia was shocked as they were aware of the sisters' demise. The family rode their air chariot, which moved at a great speed, and arrived at their destination within an hour.

Upon arrival, Tia saw two bodies lying there and two beautiful girls standing nearby. When Tia asked her mother about what was happening, she explained that their kingdom had the ability to resurrect the dead. She further explained that the souls of the sisters would be transferred to the two girls standing there. Then these two girls would resemble the sisters and behave as the sisters used to. Their memory would also return. After that, her father would be able to inquire about their killer. Tia was shocked and scared, and sweat started to bead on her forehead. The occultist uttered some phrase and turned to Kael. He explained that the cause of their death was mischievous and rare, and because of that, he could bring their lives back but not their memory. Kael agreed but was inwardly furious as he would not be able to identify who killed his sisters. Tia was relieved.

Kael told Sophie that it was time to reveal everything to Tia. Immediately after, Kael took Tia's hand and led her into a room. Kael informed Tia that they belonged to the demon kingdom and they needed to find out who did this to their sister. He further stated that their objective was to kill whoever did not obey what they said. Tia was frightened. Kael continued and declared that they were the rulers of everyone. Tia nodded in fear. Kael exited the room and instructed Sophie to change their dresses as soon as possible. Sophie uttered some phrase, and her outfit transformed into a red and black dress with a golden crown on her head. She looked so beautiful that Tia could understand why her mother was known as the beauty of the demon kingdom.

Tia’s father also uttered a phrase, and his attire transformed into an all-black ensemble, complete with a larger crown adorned with skulls. He held a staff topped with a green orb, held by two skeletal hands. Sophie touched Tia and recited some phrases. Tia’s dress began to change as well. She found herself in a red gown with a crown and a staff topped with a skull. She noticed her nails had become sharp, and her hair was loose and voluminous. A ring materialized in her hand. Sophie informed her that she was required to wear that ring for the rest of her life, as it was a symbol of the demon kingdom.

The sisters were resurrected. Everyone, including Tia, was overjoyed. Her mother explained to her all the rules and regulations of the demon kingdom. They returned to Fairyland. Kael held his staff in front and recited some phrases. He was able to see the past. He left without telling anyone and returned after three days. He didn’t disclose where he had been. Whenever Sophie asked, he simply said that he would tell everyone at the right time.

Tia now understood everything about the demon kingdom. She even executed 20 people for not obeying her orders and severely punished 35 people. She was the most malevolent child in the kingdom. Her mother was pleased with Tia’s behavior and her understanding of the laws for executing people. One day, Kael took Tia with him to the punishment place. He informed her that he had some new prisoners to be punished. Tia was pleased as she enjoyed punishing people. They arrived at the place, which was dark and eerie. Her father lifted a cloth, and Tia was shocked. She saw Mira in a cage and the fairies shackled. A black bag was placed upside down on everyone’s face. Many wands were scattered in the opposite direction. Kael announced that he had found the people who killed his sisters. He ordered his servant to remove the cloth from everyone’s face. Everyone was unconscious and appeared weak. Kael splashed a bucket of water on everyone’s face. Mira opened her eyes and looked at Tia. She was shocked to see Tia’s new appearance and Kael with her. All the fairies tried to break free from the shackles but failed as there was no magic aiding them. Kael instructed Tia to do whatever she wished to, and he would return in an hour to witness their suffering. As he left, Mira pleaded with Tia to unlock their cage and shackles and help them escape. Tia summoned some servants. Mira thought that Tia was trying to help them and would ask the servants to free them. She was mistaken.

The Torture

Tia commanded the servants to bring all the prisoners to her preferred location. The servant complied. Tia departed from the place, and the servant sprayed a chemical that caused Mira and the fairies to feel dizzy.

When Mira regained consciousness, she found herself and the fairies shackled. Her mouth was gagged with a cloth. She looked around to ascertain her location. She saw a grand throne of red and black color, adorned with statues of golden snakes on both sides, and a staff with a skull on top. The room was large and filled with people. Suddenly, everyone stood up, and a servant forced Mira and the other fairies to stand in honor of the queen. Mira saw Tia, dressed in a black and red dress with a crown on her head and a ring on one hand, seated on the grand throne. Mira managed to remove the cloth from her mouth. When Mira asked the servant why Tia was the queen and not Sophie, the servant laughed and explained that Sophie and Kael ruled the entire world, and their daughter ruled the demon land, city of fire, Sandman city, the hot sea, and the city of fire forest; previously known as Fairyland, city of clouds, bread man city, the wide sea, and the forest of pink flowers. The servant ordered her to be silent and pray for mercy before leaving the place. Mira observed the place closely; it resembled a stadium. Suddenly, Tia gave an order, and a torrent of icy cold water began to pour on Mira and the fairies. It was so cold that Mira began to freeze. Tia ordered it to stop and gave another order. Numerous insects were dropped on them. This torture continued for several hours. After that, Tia ordered the servants to put them in jail.

At night, Tia visited the jail intending to meet Mira, but Mira refused to see her.

The next day, Kael ordered Tia to hang those who had killed his sisters. Tia nodded in agreement. She went to the jail and instructed the jailer to bring the prisoners to Death Lake. Death Lake was a lake of blood where the blood of all those killed by the royal family was deposited. Mira and the fairies were lined up, and eight servants with balls in their hands were standing facing downwards. A crowd had also gathered. Tia informed everyone that if these balls touched a person, the soul of that person would be trapped in the ball forever until she decided to free it. Tia laughed with malevolence. Tia took a ball, recited some phrases, and then brought it close to Mira, touching her with it. Mira screamed as her body vanished, and her soul could be seen inside the ball. Suddenly, fragments of something fell into Death Lake - they were pieces of Mira’s body. Tia then took another ball, recited some phrases, and brought it to another fairy. The fairy questioned Tia’s actions, asking if someone was forcing her to do this. Tia replied, “I said that I will do anything to save my family…and I am doing that…Angela and Leila are my family.” Then Tia touched the ball with the fairy. Her soul was in the ball, and a diamond appeared on the ground. She picked it up and stored it in a special container. The same happened with the other six fairies. She returned to the castle and handed over the souls and diamonds to her father. He was very pleased and proud of what Tia had done.

Days passed, and one day, while Tia was learning about new phrases, a servant came and told her that someone had come to meet her. Tia came out and sat on her throne. She ordered the servant to bring the person. A tall, handsome man with black hair and fair skin came.

Arrival of Arthur

Tia asked for his introduction and why he had come. He revealed that he was Arthur. Tia was surprised; she couldn’t believe that he was Arthur. Arthur said, “Highness, I need to talk with you personally, if I can have some of your precious time.” Tia nodded. She took him to her room. When Tia asked what he wanted to say that he couldn’t say in public, Arthur said, “Highness, your daughter Tia is the one who killed your people, not Mira and the fairies. She planned to bring the fairies back. The fairies were brought back to life when the Earth fairy, Mira, and Tia had killed the sisters. I was the servant of Leila. Tia and the Earth fairy killed the sisters, and Mira was innocent.” Tia was shocked; she understood that Arthur had not recognized her because of her changed looks. Tia wanted to hear more about what Arthur wanted to say. She asked who he was to say all this. Arthur said, “Actually, I just wanted to tell the truth.” Tia asked what Arthur did for a living.

“Nothing, can I meet Tia?” Arthur answered.

“Why?” Tia asked.

“She is my good friend,” said Arthur, looking down.

“But, you just said that she killed the sisters, so now she will be punished.”

“No, the Earth fairy killed them, Tia was with me!” “

Okay, so you want to meet her, but you already have.”

Arthur looked confused. “

I am Tia, not Sophie,” Tia clarified.

Arthur looked shocked. “

You are Tia? Sorry, I didn’t recognize you; you have changed your look maybe that is the reason.”

Tell me, what do you want to say, Arthur?”

“Sorry, you were right about choosing the wrong…because it’s better to choose a powerful wrong over a weak right.”

They had a friendly long talk after that. Tia told him everything about the castle and her family. After a while, Kael called Tia for some work. Tia took Arthur with her and told her father that he was the servant of Leila before she died. After the fairy had killed the sisters, he was left and ran from there. He didn’t have any work, so he came here. Tia asked her father if she could appoint Arthur as his personal helper. Kael agreed and asked to send him to other servants who could teach him work. Arthur thanked them and left. Tia and Kael also left.

1 year passed with peace for the demon kingdom but with fear and misery for the people.

After a person kills 100 people, his name would be changed to a scarier, stranger, and more powerful name. Sophie was earlier known as Lea, and Kael has got a change of name 2 times: David and Kassel. Now Tia had crossed 100+ deaths, so her name was changed to Erisista.

Arthur was now the most trusted man among the servants. Sophie, Kael, and Erisista were very happy with his work. Arthur was sent where the work was to be kept a secret from the people.

The twist

One day, while Arthur was working, Erisista summoned him to her room. She requested him to clean the room as quickly as possible. Arthur agreed and began tidying up, starting with folding the blankets. Erisista noticed that Arthur seemed off and asked if he wanted to say something. He turned around to face Erisista, who was sitting calmly on a chair. Arthur approached Erisista, who stood up. As they drew closer, their eyes met. Their clothes brushed against each other, and Arthur covered Erisista’s mouth with his hand. With his other hand, he drew a knife and stabbed Erisista. She was in disbelief at what Arthur had done. Tears welled up in her eyes, and blood dripped onto the floor. She couldn’t scream or speak because Arthur had covered her mouth. Arthur fled the room.

A few minutes later, several servants rushed into the room. Kael and Sophie were also present. Arthur pulled out two rings from his pocket and hurried over to Kael and Sophie. He informed them that the occultist had given him these rings and had instructed them to remove their old rings and put on the new ones. Kael and Sophie trusted Arthur. They swiftly removed their old rings, and both fell dead. Arthur put on Kael’s old ring and assumed the role of the king of the demon kingdom.

After a few days, an occultist and some other people discovered how Arthur had killed Kael and Sophie. Arthur explained, "I was the personal assistant of Erisista. While cleaning her room, I found a gift given by the queen of  Bread man City what is now known as Sandman city. Erisista once told me that the queen said she should open it when she feels unsafe. When I opened the gift, there was a note inside that read"

"Everyone possesses vulnerability.

Some individuals are aware of their vulnerability, some are not.

However, the vulnerability of these demons is their band.

Their essence resides in their bands.

If a demon is slain and the band is not removed, the demon remains alive.

If a demon’s band is removed, it signifies that he is deceased forever…and will never return.

~Monarch"

Arthur’s intelligence and strategic actions have indeed earned him applause. Now, as the ruler of the world, he has implemented his own rules and regulations, becoming even more feared than Kael, Sophie, and Erisista.
