Cadaver Question

Cadaver Question

A Poem by Aaron Brammeier

"Ring around the rosy"
pocket full of cadavers
where tired hemorrhages
speak at volumes we cannot hear
scratch the Polaroids of memory
hang them out to dry
and set them aflame
in the wastelands of coma's
could I ask the dead why?
why the journey through transcendent reality
cries from within
pull nails out of coffins
open the chests and search
for the answers I crave
through intestines and fluids
taste the bile of languid hope
silence poured into my lips
decipher the souls journey back
to eternal indifference
what if we are just but ants
forbidding the fertile land
moving to protect and feed the queen
who ripped the boxes from our throats
only to silence our souls
