Once More Is My Only Wish

Once More Is My Only Wish

A Poem by aaronbranch

I could watch you walk a marathon.
Wouldn't blink if those tight shorts were on.
Met my match when our eyes aligned.
Losing sense of time with our hands entwined.
When we bid ado I tighten my grips.
Leave me famished from your precious lips.
Once more is my only wish.

The wind taunts my ears with your name.
And we both know,
That this cold air isn't what took my breath away.
I would gladly tell all your infamous name,
But I sincerely doubt you feel the same.
Instead I'll talk about the good times we had.
I know that you're still around somewhere.
I just wish somewhere was right here with me.

When we cuddled close at night,
I'd forget, I'd forget all about my life.
I promised us both you wouldn't play me.
But you do it well and you do it daily.
All your kisses stain my skin with happiness.
See you through my eyes and know why I obsess.
