Cheers To The Ruthless

Cheers To The Ruthless

A Poem by aaronbranch

The type of guy that knows he can do it.
Drew a map to heaven like he's been to it.
Name something.
Bet he's been through it.

White button-up,
Black tie.
Man, he's well-suited.
High on life,
He feels zooted.

Down to earth.
Down to kick it,
Won't get booted.
Let's it burn if it's uprooted.
And if it still moves...
He'll shoot it.

Understands bullshit,
But isn't fluent.
Not dependent.
Not influenced.
Not at all entertained by a nuisance.

Here's to to never being useless.
Here's to bruises.
Here's to being with whom he chooses.
Here's to when he loses.
Cheers to the Ruthless.
