The Spell

The Spell

A Poem by Jetbrown

N*****s cold like hazel eyes unblinking.

Copper bristles erect between chests,

 standing  thick, strong, trenchant.

Love eclipses a vacant white face and

listens to  harmonizing hearts,

drowning out the sound of color.

Moving fear from the forefront,

now focusing in, beneath  skin.

Fragility becomes the strength that

allows  amiable notions to pass

Cupid spies like a fly on the wall

Watching his martyrs give into him.

A checkered kiss brings a sense

To the moment of mosaic craft.

 Breath weighs more

Than the instant itself.
