Emergence

Emergence

A Poem by Aaron M. Anderson
"

Out of the storm

"
Tempted to sleep through the downpour
of salt water under parched pink clouds
of lithium powder and sunset blues,
I arose.

No longer hiding from the angry storms,
I stretch out naked on the shore, exposed
to the rain and sun amidst baptisms of
salt and sand.

Cleansed of sin as I anoint my own brow,
before the infinite White waves, changing
with the rise and fall of so much hot air,
I stand.

The sun emerges from behind the tempest
like a shipwrecked man on a strange shore
without solid ground, building on pebbles.

I feel free

Wonderfully done. The words used and the flow created a vivid imagery and gave great emotion to the piece. I felt peaceful as I read this, as if, I to where there in the sand, free of all woes and worries. Just the pureness of the nature around me.

Again, great job.

Vinny~

Wow, I seriously like more and more of your materials as I read, this poem actually has similarity to a poem of mine, uncannily so.

Such feeling of freedom, releases all sin, you ever felt, it makes the oxygen twice as productive~ Lovely write.

This connection with nature was pristine, the Ocean is so good to purge and feel that liberty. Outstanding write.

I find myself wondering whether you are expressing feelings, here, not dissimilar to those I felt following Katrina, that all the dross I has submerged myself in, for whatever reason or reasons, were now freshly washed away, and I could now begin to rediscover the ME that had been for so long camouflaged. Either that, or start buying more stuff, as fast as possible...Having been through an earthquake, a Tropical storm AND a hurricane in less than a month, I might safely assume that you are a little dazed, but this writing does not reflect confusion; quite the opposite. Your stoic acceptance of that which must be, HAS been, is most inspirational.
May I recommend my "Five Minutes In Hell" as another POV?

There's something almost selfish in feeling renewed, energised, released from pain and more - until the spirit accepts what it has - serenity.

Your words are special.

Perfection... silken words floating hazardously inside my mind as I read this read and they made such a dulcet and soft echoes... The imagery, the scene, the description... Everything is well expressed and painted. Too talented.
I love this poem especially the last stanza "The sun emerges from behind the tempest (...) Building on pebbles ... I am free
