Emergence

Emergence

A Poem by Aaron M. Anderson
"

Out of the storm

"
Tempted to sleep through the downpour
of salt water under parched pink clouds
of lithium powder and sunset blues,
I arose.

No longer hiding from the angry storms,
I stretch out naked on the shore, exposed
to the rain and sun amidst baptisms of
salt and sand.

Cleansed of sin as I anoint my own brow,
before the infinite White waves, changing
with the rise and fall of so much hot air,
I stand.

The sun emerges from behind the tempest
like a shipwrecked man on a strange shore
without solid ground, building on pebbles.

I feel free

Wonderfully done. The words used and the flow created a vivid imagery and gave great emotion to the piece. I felt peaceful as I read this, as if, I to where there in the sand, free of all woes and worries. Just the pureness of the nature around me.

Again, great job.

Magic woven in metaphor, you journey us to the sea's storm and soul's release. Profoundly moving!
