The world of wants

This poem states the reality of humans. Wants are both positive and negative and here is a mirror for all types of wants.

Everyone is rich, but have nothing,

All in the race to achieve something.

A rich wants expensive car,

for poor, shelter is too far,

Strong nations need a world war,

and politicians wants their 'sarkaar'(a word in Hindi language which means government),

A middle-class man needs increase in salary,

A greedy bride, need a handful of dowry,

Soldiers wants to show their bravery,

Slaves need to get rid of slavery.

A student wants an upgrade in grade,

A working wife needs a maid,

An corrupted man, wants no CBI raid,

And some actors, want no dark shade.

Hey you! poor and needy,

Isn't you all are selfish and greedy.

Instead of demanding this or that thing,

brighten this dark world by giving something

I like how this poem decries the 'gimme-gimme' attitude
