Oh how I wish...

Oh how I wish...

A Poem by didi_7

Oh how I wish...

Quiescent nightfalls

picturesque dreams

is all I have left,

given up hope it seems

I chose not to search, instead

waited for love to find me

but in a world where equality is significant

masculanity has been set free

perhaps I belong in another era

where mans words were opinionated and strong

to be treated as women were back then

why is it now deemed so wrong

do you not wish to feel the overbearing strength

and heated grip of his powerful hands

where he demands all authority

and leads you through lifes dance

independance is for lonely souls

for those readying themselves to live alone

love is when you seek him out and find

theres comfort in the scent of his cologne

A man who has a peronality as fierce

as the blaze of a thralling fire

no doubt its nature admonishes us

but here warmth is drawn - the flames its sire

my sense of needing may be questioned

perhaps my quaint visions too

but beneath that feminism facade

a rogue is wanted by the women in you...
