Salya

Salya

A Poem by Prana

"I believe it's the second jar from the left"

Salya, a medicine man of sorts, directed his apprentice towards a specific jar of Shanti soil.

"Why do we need this? It is nothing but dirt!" asked the apprentice.

Salya refuses to make eye contact. In a dry tone, he asks his apprentice.

"Why do you need need to eat? You are but a sack of bones."
