Nor, does it need to be about seeking popular appeal. After all, because people have such different values and feelings; we cannot expect positive responses in a consistent way. On the otherhand, a mind with some similar traits; will usually find a way to relate with our writing. So, personality is a factor too. Perhaps, writers produce some of their best writing; when feeling both inspired and emotional at the same time?
