Knowledge and FreedomA Story by Amayrani FrancoThis is just an excerpt from an analytical essay I had written a while back... It's not much but I just wanted to share it.{On the relationship between knowledge and freedom: "....it is easy to find that ignorance can give a false sense of freesom: when looking at the world as it is, oftentimes we find ourselves with nothing but one true option. The catalogs all sell the same clothes disguised under different brand names and like fools everyone ends up dressing the same way. The same beats hide beneath different senseless melodies that each individual claims as their own, ultimately singing the same song with different words. It's easy to claim one's individuality when there is only one way to do it, it's easy to have an opinion when it's being fed to you word by word... It isn't until one recognizes a pattern that one is able to break it- with knowledge and awareness comes the availability of more options, leading us to truly make our own decisions- fully conscious of all the possibilities. "}
