Breathe

You feel your heart beating.

Faster faster faster

You hear words in your head.

Spinning spinning spinning.

You feel the pain as your body slams to the ground.

Pain pain pain.

You realize your breath.

Obnoxious but constant.

Breathe you realize. Just breathe.

In and out. Inhale. Exhale.

The world stops.

you're alive.

you're breathing.

Sometimes a single breath is the first sign of hope after a fall. As you so well convey in this poem, realizing you're alive is hope realized, a second chance, time to gain our strength and get up again. Nice piece! I believe other readers will easily relate to this poem.
