Writtin July 9th, 2009 when I was seeing a lot of doctors for problems that could not be diagnosed. I am now going through this again so it pertains to my life right now.
I've had quite a few repetitive experiences like this myself. Not that there was something wrong with me, but rather my family members. When my grandparents were still alive, it was my family's obligation to visit them. I hardly knew them because I didn't grow up with them as a huge presence in my life. Whereas my sister and my mother (they were her parents) cared the most. For quite a few years we visited them and visited them until they finally passed away. It wasn't pleasant for me, but I was glad that they had died because they were in pain. My grandmother because of her age and my grandfather shortly one year after of heartbreak.
But my family had a routine of going up to the home where they lived and visited them. This poem brought back vivid memories of that. The painful process my sister and mother both had to endure until their deaths. Excellently written. I'm glad you posted this for us readers to view. I hope everything clears up for you soon.
Very edgy and powerful. It displays your aggravation with the medical system in such short simple words. To have to do it again and again has to be very frustrating. Try to stay happy. :). It's a tough situation to be in, but I promise you will make it through. Great job!
