One of the Guys - Part 1A Poem by A sea personAutobiographical. We play football after school, ride in the bed of your brother’s pickup and yell at the other cars. I’m one of you, I blend right in. You know me. I know you. I’m one of the guys. We get in trouble for fighting, in lunch and gym, but we forgive each other in ISS the next day. I fight dirty, just like you. You talk smack. I talk smack. I’m one of the guys. We hang out at the movies, R-rated for Blood, Gore, Sex, Violence and never get carded. I hate skirts and frills and lace. You hate pink. I hate pink. I’m one of the guys. We have guys nights out and I never notice that I’m the only girl there, and neither do you. I wear jeans and hoodies loose. You date girls. I don’t date. I’m one of the guys.
