Broken Glass

Another short poem.

 

We both share a secret
of broken glass.
A shattered memory:
no longer whole,
yet,

strangely,
never missing any
pieces.

This is short but poignant. The thing about it is that either the reader - through a life in which severe brokenness has been experienced - can relate or they can't. Good for those who can't in the sense that it means they haven't encountered being broken, but sooner or later everyone will encounter something which will make this poem make sense to them.

Not a lot of words, but a volume of insight and experience has been expressed here.

I love this too it really makes one think and it makes me think of window glass falling apart and being put back together like in a puzzle but it keeps replaying inside of a mirror
