Blue

A love poem

I belonged to you

Your orbit

Your shadow, your fingers

That could pull me apart

That could

Hold me together

The anger in your voice

That couldn’t quite mask the tremor.

 

I belonged to you.

Your face,

Your name

The human side of you

That thrived when the lights

Wore off. When the night was

Still, it was then that

You filled me with your tears

 

And your eyes could have bled me dry

If I slowed enough

To let you catch me

I thought I'd look at your older writing, see how it is in comparison. Having seen the description of it being a love poem, I had to check it out to see how you manage romance. I have to say, you didn't disappoint. It's heart-wrenching, truly is. You put yourself plainly into your words, stating your feelings and the effects this person had on you outright.
