Dad

Dad

A Poem by _mal

Alone, Jason pulled the trigger
He didn't have to do it
I didn't want to see it
Reflected in your eyes, wide
Swallowing down bile
Depicting what you
Thought were stomach contents
But was fact the
inside of his head

You have her hand to hold now
And I'm grateful for it
Her skin
hopefully a buffer between
All you've seen and who you are

This is so dark and lovely and beautiful. Excellent, excellent job!

some things are just too impossible to forget...the darkest darkness of what drives people to end it...
and those who have to live with the guilt afterward...the guilt of not being able to stop the madness.
