Do You Know?

Do you know that feeling when you lay in bed,

feeling absolutely nothing,

Yet your chest feels heavy,

And there is nothing you can do to lighten it,

You don't why you feel this,

But that it just makes you feel hallow inside.

So you lay there thinking,

Thinking what made you this way,

You can't break free from this void inside you,

Falling deeper into this never-ending abyss,

Knowing that there is nothing to break your fall,

Do you know that feeling?

You wish upon the stars,

And hope to God for someone to pull you out,

To take away this emptiness inside you,

But nothing is happening,

Your lips won't curve to their usual smile,

Nor will your eyes twinkle mischievously.

Tell me do you know this feeling,

Nothing can make you happy,

You just lay there in bed motionlessly,

Unable to move, breath, and think,

Wishing for the days to pass quickly,

Do you know what this is called?
