Father of ForeverA Poem by @_av_poetryFor my husband.
I thought about awarding you with father of the year,
But what an insufficient tittle that would be, my dear, To diminish what you have become, And confine the molecular change of your being To twelve meagre months, When who you are now means being present To ward off every nightmare, every fear. How about father of the moment, of the hour, Spending every second by her side, A rock, a compass, a friendly face, The only constant in this ephemeral place. There to inspire, there to empower. An open door, an invitation A love story with no expiration. These titles are good, however, I think I'll go with Father of Forever.
