YE, OF LITTLE FATE

YE, OF LITTLE FATE

A Poem by @_av_poetry
"

When you lose hope, but fate has your back. It's okay to be saved sometimes.

"

Ye, of little fate,

He arrived too early,

And you arrived too late.

He arrived on the year ninety two,

Ninety six was to be your number,

Thats’s when you came into this world

And awoke from your eternal slumber.

Separated by sea and by land,

But linked by unbreakable bond,

You prayed at night for him,

But he did not respond.

Defeated you stumbled through life,

While destiny’s thread was spun

And when he showed up at your door

He looked more dazzling than the sun.

The wounds of falling never healed,

But he happily took on the task

And watched in awe as reluctantly

You let slip your watchful mask.

Ye, of little fate

He arrived too early

But had the sense to wait.

Hello, av! :)
This reads like a love story. I like the sentiment of the meant to be. It is comforting, like hugging mom.
Deep thoughts - I dont believe in anything. I either know something or I dont. Beliefs and presumptions are imagined things. We make many decisions based on our imaginings. For instance, I order a certain brand of pizza, because I've always enjoyed it. My presumption doesn't require the pizza to be enjoyable every time I order it. My imagination doesn't make it delicious. The actions that went into creating the pizza do that; and as I wait for the pizza to arrive, my imagination plays on the subject, feeding me hope and worry about how tasty my pizza will be or if it will even arrive. And, as my craving degenerates into frantic hunger, I rush to the altar of fate and plead for my hopes to come true. Haha
I dont believe in personified gods or their proxies. I dont presume them to exist. I know that things are the way they are because of the actions/events that went into making them this way, and the same applies to future things. If I could effectively analyze all events, I presume I could perfectly predict the future; and someone would probably write a book about me, and somewhere in there that writer will mention that I'm long-winded. Haha
How about you, do you believe in fate?

I really enjoyed this poem, penned so well. As to fate, I don't entirely believe that everything is predestined. I do feel we have an element of control over future choices.
Good to read you and I admired the shape your poem took on.

AW, give yourself a little time.....even if it's only an hour a week:)
I think fate exists somehow. Some people are just supposed to be together. Some things are just supposed to happen. I think fate is rare though.

While I believe your thoughts and feelings can affect your life, the notion of fate, of predestination that cannot be altered, does not seem likely to me. It can make people believe there is no use in trying because the die has already been cast. With all respect to John Calvin, the game isn't fixed.
