Tree In The Wind

Tree In The Wind

A Poem by @_av_poetry

Forgive and forget

Forgive and forget

All I do is give and give

All you do is get.

You pull and I fall

You push and I bend

When does it end?

When will you see

How much is at stake,

That one day you’ll push

And I’ll break?

Hello, av! :)
This was an interesting read. The thoughts are pensive, but written playfully to start, progressing into direct questions. This reads like someone is in trouble. Haha
Thanks for sharing.

More in a broader sense, the reality of life. The more we want to live the more we getting close to the end of life. With each second of life passing by, we are getting bend by the push of life. One fine day everything and everyone is going to break. Willingly or unwillingly. Your Tree In The Wind gave me the viewpoint of life on the earth. Very touching one thanks for sharing.

Most welcome...
Really enjoyed the vivid imagery here of a tree being pulled in all directions by a cruel wind. So viscious, that the trunk snapped. I saw a silver birch because they are so graceful and move so well with the wind, until they bend too far. Your lines also work well with relationships. There are givers and takers. Takers are exhausting. They can break your spirit. I like where you took me. Thank you.
