She-moon

She-moon

A Poem by @_av_poetry

Just like the moon

You have a hidden side,

And just like the moon

You control my world,

Just like the moon

Controls the tide.

Just like the moon

Your mind is full of mystery,

And just like the moon,

You are far-off,

Just like the moon,

Your light's already history.

Just like the moon,

You steal my breath away,

And just like the moon

You always leave,

Just like the moon,

Even though I beg you to stay.

Oh, only if we understood nature and it’s cycles. Makes me think about the old saying, “we wouldn’t know light if not for the dark.” Both do control us, don’t they? Our breath and moods and more. Outstanding poem.

Thank you :)
very powerful theme and repetition hammers it home beautifully. Nice mic drop. I am a fan of the mic drop in a poem

Thank you. I also love that in poems.
holy smokes this is all clever what a great comparison in this composition! Clever clever clever Angela:) how on earth would you need to beg for the moon and or him to stay are you sure its not you pulling the moon and him around the earth? Lovely lines

Very imaginative use of the moon as a metaphor for relationships. Of course, some relationships might be better represented by Mars.

Mars was the Roman god of war, which is what some relationships deteriorate into.

Cool stuff. Thanks for reading.
and i have also met many women who were like a turkish-quarter moon...only a small part of the real person showing, while three-fourths stays well-hidden...
and a mystery...
and often in the end i am left with that quarter..one filled with memories of what was never quite a full exposure.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Women can be alluring creatures, dangerous to some.
